As you know, the disaster in Japan has devastated everything in Tohoku Region of Japan. And as a Japanese living in Sweden, I have been struck by the feeling of guilt and powerlessness, since I could not make any action to help fellow Japanese people who are struggling in this situation. I am currently working at the Göteborgsoperan, and we have four Japanese artists in this theater alone, and we knew more talented artists in the city who are also willing to put the force together and take action for Japan, so we decided to put together a charity art performance for Japan by Japanese artists in Göteborg. We are currently working on finding right venue, getting professional artists together to make a program worthwhile for the audience to come and watch.
